The airline eliminated six seats so that the tallest lady in the world could board her inaugural flight. Seven-foot-tall Rumeysa Gelgi took a plane from Istanbul, Turkey, to San Francisco.
Gelgi was able to spend the 13-hour flight lying on a stretcher thanks to modifications made by Turkish Airlines.
The airline removed six economy seats so that the tallest woman in the world could board a plane for the first time.
Rumeysa Gelgi, who is 7 feet, 0.7 inches tall, was recognised as the tallest lady in the world last year by Guinness World Records.
According to MailOnline, Turkish Airlines modified one of their aircraft in September so that she could fly to San Francisco. Six seats were removed, and their place was taken by a special stretcher that allowed her to go on the 13-hour voyage.

Due to her stature body, which was brought on by the Weaver syndrome, a disorder that among other things causes bone overgrowth, Gelgi, 24, had never been able to take a flight before. She was too big to fit in aeroplane seats even as a little child, the outlet claimed.
Due to her illness, she often utilises a wheelchair or walker to go around.
On Instagram, Gelgi posted a number of pictures of herself travelling and said that it had been “a flawless journey from start to finish.”

According to the MailOnline, Gelgi travelled to California to spend time developing her software business and working with Guinness World Records
Prior to formally becoming the tallest lady in the world in 2021, Gelgi earned her first Guinness World Record in 2014 as the tallest teen in the world.
She also holds the global record for having the largest hands, the longest finger, and the longest back.
